It's the 1st time I have had a soap filled sponge, until last week, I didn't even know it was a thing! The sponge itself is heavier than I imagined, and when you first get it out of the tub feels quite solid, but don't let that put you off, once in the shower, a bit of water and the fragrance is released, as soon as you rub it on you body it foams immediately. The foam feels very creamy and luxurious and smells fabulous. I've only had it a,couple of days, so can't comment on its longevity, but so far I am very pleased with my purchase.
